The General offers car insurance across the country, with a focus on "non-standard" drivers. Their customers are typically younger (25–34) and mobile first.

The General's previous 2-star PhoneGap app had very limited functionality and was not up to the standard of UI/UX that their customers expect. In short, it did not deliver on the brand promise of "making our customers' lives easier." Our challenge was to make a native app for both iOS and Android that elevated their brand and user experience.

Live up to the brand promise of "making our customers' lives easier" and design native iOS and Android apps to replace the previous 2-star PhoneGap experience.

Making an insurance claim can be stressful. We designed a simple, intuitive process that would help the user complete the process quickly and thoroughly. A tracker lets the user know where they are in the process, and after submission they can continue to track the status of their claim.

Flexibility is key when it comes to making payments. The app allows users to split payments between several payment methods, set up autopay, and even pay in cash. Notifications keep the user up to date with payment due dates so they never miss a payment.
